Connie L. Ogden

October 3rd, 1946 – July 3rd, 2023

Connie L. Ogden, 76, of Havana, IL, passed away at 4:51 am on Monday, July 3, 2023 at Mason District Hospital in Havana. She was born on October 3, 1946 in Fulton County, IL, the daughter of Hartford “Jack” and Charlotte (Gray) Curless. Connie married William “Bill” Ogden on July 17, 1963 in Lewistown, IL. Bill preceded Connie in death on May 31, 2022.

Also preceding Connie in death are her parents, and one son, William Daron “B” Ogden.

She is survived by one daughter, Darla (and John) Boo of Lewistown, one son, Jody (and Beckey) Ogden of Havana, 5 grandchildren, Katelyn (and Jon) Webb, Cody Boo, Heather Ogden, Halie (and Joe) Boo and Ashlyn Ogden, 6 great-grandchildren, Easton Webb, Mason Webb, Cameron Webb, Keegan Boo, Ava Boo and Oliver Fornili, and one sister, Dianna Hilton of Chester, IL.

Connie was a homemaker and farmwife. Throughout her life she also worked at Dana Corporation, Mason District Hospital, Ace Hardware, all in Havana, and Koster Woodworking.

Connie enjoyed working on genealogy for not just her family but for others as well. She got a lot of joy from setting down and talking to others about how people were related and connected. She also enjoyed sewing, crochet and gardening. Connie loved her grandchildren and spending time with them.

Cremation rites have accorded. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Hickory-Kerton Fire Department.

This is the first time I heard of her passing, she was a great help with my looking up my family history. Even though I never got to meet her in person she remains a driving force with the Curless's families that settled in Fulton County in the 1840's. Peace be with you. Dennis Curless
