Ginger Jones-Sabo

October 2nd, 1978 – August 1st, 2023

Ginger Jones-Sabo, age 44 of Chino Hills, California, passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at 12:02 pm at her home. She was born on October 2, 1978 in Rushville, Illinois, the daughter of Jerry and Connie (Workman) Jones.

She was a 1997 graduate of Rushville High School and earned a Master Degree in school social work at SIU Carbondale.

Ginger is survived by her daughter Kameryn of Thousand Oaks, California, her parents Jerry and Connie Jones of Camden, Illinois, her brother Jason (Tanya) Jones and niece Tesla of Palmyra, Missouri, grandmother Nancy Dean of Rushville, Illinois, her special friend Najim and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents George and Deloris Jones and her great-grandparents.

Ginger was a very kind and caring person, helpful to others whenever she could. Growing up, she loved her kitties and dogs, bottle baby calves and sheep. She was a great friend.

She loved spending time with her daughter. Kameryn was the world to her. She loved her dad and mom, brother and grandma-all her family-more than anything. She lit up a room with her smile and laughter.

In high school, she was in the Elite Show Choir and a rock band. She got to perform in plays and musicals. She had a beautiful voice-now she is singing with the angels!

Private graveside services will be held at a later date in the Mount Zion Cemetery in Astoria, Illinois. Memorials in Ginger’s memory may be made to the Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Rushville, Illinois or the Ginger Jones-Sabo Memorial Fund.

Connie and Jerry: So sorry to hear about your daughter Ginger. I’m certain she was a wonderful and loving person although I’m not sure I ever got to meet her. She’s going to be in the same cemetery as my dad Larry’s mother and sister and her husband. It’s a very peaceful spot. Your cousin David Wilson
